Legal Question in Workers Comp in West Virginia

Uncooperative employer

I broke my foot AT WORK 10/26/01. Employer several weeks later sent in wrong form (for Black Lung Disease). I got the proper form and made sure it was sent in, even though they still had not filled all of it out. So far - no benefits at all, no income for 11 weeks, and not enough money to get necessary prescriptions. I have worked there since July and still have no health insurance either (this is a contractor that works for the Federal Government).I am getting no help on either of these matters. Would a lawyer help? I don't know what to do.

Re: Uncooperative employer

Before hiring a lawyer you should call Worker's Comp and see what the status of your claim is. Something is definetly wrong, but perhaps they can straighten it out. If not, then hire a lawyer.
