Re: auto accident claims

Hello,

It is not possible to give you a certain answer to this question because I have so few facts. If you have filed bankruptcy, that will get rid of debts and judgements that are on your papers as of that date. It will not take care of any debts or judgements that come up after your bankruptcy. So if you have an auto accident, then a bankruptcy, but get sued 2 years after the bankruptcy and a judgement is found against you for the accident, you will not be protected by the bankruptcy. That is my off the cuff thought based on what you have told me, but if you want an opinion to rely on, you will have to retain a lawyer and get an official opinion. Best wishes,

Mark J. Mahoney
