Credit Report Listings After Bankruptcy
About six months after your bankruptcy discharge is issued, you should be able to force the credit card companies to change their credit reporting. The correct listing should be "discharged in bankruptcy." That listing persists for ten years for a chapter 7 and seven years following the closure of a successful chapter 13.
