When filing bankruptcy, can I file my school loans? Also when I file, if my only vehicle owned is with my boyfriend can that be taken? Can you suggest names of good bankruptcy lawyers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin?

I would be happy to give you a referral in Milwaukee if you call my office or send me a private e-mail ([email protected]).
The bad news, however, is that student loans are not dischargeable unless they are very old. You can temporarily stay collection by paying them through a chapter 13, but interest will continue to accrue. There is also still a hardship exception which is difficult to qualify for.
