Bankruptcy for Low Income Persons
If you own nothing and only receive $800 per month in social security benefits, there may be very little that creditors can do to you in WI other than harass you. Social security benefits are not normally subject to garnishment by creditors other than the IRS. However, if creditor harassment is still effecting your health, you can stop it via a bankruptcy filing. Many attorneys have lower fees available for the poor. My comments here are not intended as legal advice unless you subsequently retain me.
