Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Wisconsin

I filed a Chapter 7 and had the meeting of creditors, the discharge date was set and I was told I could add additional creditors anytime prior to the discharge date for $26 while the case was still open. We did add 1 creditor that was overlooked, prior to the discharge date, and when I inquired 2 weeks later as to why we had not yet recieved our paperwork we were then told this: "Your discharge had not yet been issued because we added creditors. Those creditors are given a short period of time in which to object to your discharge (fraud, embezzlement, etc.). Nothing bad is anticipated; we just pushed back the date by filing the amendment."

Is this True? Or did my attorney mess this up by not submitting my amendment timely? The discharge date was actually pushed out well over 30 days
