Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Wisconsin

Pathetic Situation-Can we get guidance?

Husband,69 yrs. old ,totally and permanantly disabled--wife,69, Legally blind, both retired.Moved from Florida ,daughter stated she wanted to take care of us and we all will buy a larger house.Monies they would get was for down payment. Som -in-law thought they would get money right away. When he was told ,not until another home was purchased. He became irate(he is an alchoholic)and told us'' to get our Illinois asses out of his house!''WE also bought them aRV trailer , but it is in our name and we allowed our daughter to be authorized on one of our credit cards, to help her make ends meet, because her husband likes to spend money on things for himself! Ran the card to max and then stopped paying on it! Daughter and husband are now divorcing and filing Bankruptcy . So we have a bill we are finding very difficult to pay along with our bills. We are now homeless and need to reorganize our bills to where we can afford them and find a place to live. We are on a fixed income and neither of us is capable of holding a job.We are considering filing Chapter 13 to help us get our lives straightened out again. We were retired in Florida and now we are without a home, all bwcause we always helped our children because that is how we believe. I am not sure if I understand the question. If your question is "can we file a bankruptcy ourselves?" the answer may well be yes. It also is sometimes possible for a bankruptcy trustee to recover gifts or other transfers if the bankruptcy is filed within a year of the gift. The funds recovered, however, would go to pay your debts except for such portions as you might be able to claim as exempt.
