Legal Question in Business Law in Wisconsin
Business purchase
I am considering purchasing an established business that installs appliances into homes, (ovens, icemakers, microwaves etc.) from a private party. In order to find out what the business was I was required to sign a confidentiality/compete agreement, and was given a contract for purchase to make an offer on the business. My primary concern is that it is Saturday, (I just met with the seller today) and he wants me to make the offer by tommorrow, stating he has another offer coming in and wants to decide on Monday. I am leary of this fast track approach even though the deal seems fair otherwise. How should I proceed?

Re: Business purchase
Hello,
I am not able to advise because I do not have all the facts or the legal documents. It is a good idea to have an attorney look them over. The deal could be fine, or it may not be. It is risky to rush into a deal that you have not had another pair of eyes look over.
