Fitness Center Membership

Last fall I signed a two-year gym membership. I recently moved to a different area of the country and would like to cancel the gym membership. The gym told me the contract states there is no way out and that I'm stuck paying the remainder of the contract. Are they correct, or is there a way out?

Consult with a local attorney. There are certain things that this type of contract must have in them or it is not enforceable. Your contract needs to be reviewed.
