Legal Question in Business Law in Wisconsin
Laws regarding business contests
My company held a contest in which points were accumulated during the course of the year. The top 3 point earners won a prize. The winners were announced but I have been unable to get them to show me the year end point results. (I believe that one of the top three did not have enough points to win.) Are they legally bound to announce the year end points standing?

Re: Laws regarding business contests
All of this comes down to Contract law. There was a contract, verbal or oral, that all of you entered by participating in the contest. If there are written rules, then take a look at them. However, unless the prizes were of a very high value, it seems unlikely that some sort of breach of contract claim would get you anywhere.
