Legal Question in Business Law in Wisconsin

starting an at home business

do I need a license or any kind of permit to start an internet business out of my home? If so please tell me where I can get this and if there is a cost to me. I would like to recruit people to sell my product also and would never meet them, this also would be done over the internet.

Any advice you can give me would be very helpful on any aspects of a home business on the internet.

thank you

Re: starting an at home business

No license is needed in general.

Sometimes cities require

"dba" licenses for businesses (not incorporated) doing

business in their city, just to prevent name collisions and

perhaps to let them monitor zoning violations.

States sometimes need some sort of registration so they

can check whether sales tax and wafe withholdings

are properly being collected.

Let me know if i can help you draw up agreements,

e.g., for sales & marketing below your level, etc.

Good luck. What's the business about, anyway?
