Legal Question in Business Law in Wisconsin
What are the WI laws regarding leasing a business as far as the building owner giving someone else a key? There is someone taking over my lease at the start of the new year, and the building owner gave him a key to enter the property already.

As a Franchise Attorney I can say this is rather unexpected and may be a violation of your lease. Not possible to say for certain without reading your lease as well as any amendment that may have been signed as part of the lease assignment process. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
