Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Wisconsin
Using fmla for excused absence
Recently I was very ill, I had went to the doctor I had a temp. of 101 and was dehydrated, most likely is was just a virus. But I was very sick. My employer had me fill out FMLA papers, the doctor had written me out of work for 2 days and descirbed my condition. My employer did not accept the FMLA and I lost points for the days absent. Why is it if a doctor writes you out it is still not excused??

Re: Using fmla for excused absence
It has to fall within the FMLA,--the flu is probably NOT covered.
Check your employee manual and see what you can negotiate.
