Legal Question in Technology Law in Wisconsin

Documents on CD-ROM is Legal ?

To Whom It May Concern:

I recently informed that information saved/burned on a CD-ROM (to replace hard-copies) is considered legal documentation/representation (like Microfiche) Is this true? If so, do you have an article, or can you refer me to a site/or someone that has one, stating this? I need to get my hands on one to forward to a customer of ours.

Anything you can do to help would be most appreciated.

What do you mean by the term "legal representation"?

In certain situations, a CD-ROM could replace print copy without sacrificing legal rights. In other situations, a digital copy may not be adequate.
