Deceptive Auto Financing

Your granddaughter should make an appointment with a bankruptcy attorney as soon as possible. If she surrenders the vehicle, the balance of any debt associated with it is generally dischargeable. The cosigner may have to do the same thing. The loan practices you mention such as signing of blank documents violate the WI consumer act and can also provide grounds for judicial relief in the courts. This can even lead to forgiveness of the loan by court order. This assumes, however, that these allegations can can be proven; undoubtedly the dealership will have a different version of events.
