Legal Question in Consumer Law in Wisconsin

I took my car in for leaking coolant from the oil cooler. The mechanic suggested that the leak was coming from another part.so he preformed the work. He said it would take 6 hrs. It ended up taking like 12 days . When it got done the coolant was still leaking and the transmission now had issues from performing the work incorrectly .Do I have a winning case ? If yes, for what? Parts,labor, car rentals, new mechanic diagnosis cost , ??

WI consumer law is complex, and few areas are more complex than those of auto repair. There are numerous technical requirements regarding estimates, and numerous consumer remedies if the estimates are not properly done. Nonetheless, since mechanics can sometimes retain vehicles under mechanic's lien laws until they are paid, they tend to hold many if not all of the cards. If you are serious about knowing if you have a winning case, take your paperwork to an experienced WI civil litigation attorney for review. Nobody can evaluate your case without first seeing all of these.
