Legal Question in Consumer Law in Wisconsin
electric bill
My son recently told me he has an electric bill that totals over 4000. He told me his mother put the bill in her name,(we are divorced), he didnt know she was doing this, and now the bill is hanging out there ruining his credit. I cant tell you the manipulitive #$%@ she is, how can this be settled with my son and how can she be forced to take the responsibility she neglects. Thanks

Re: electric bill
Bring a lawsuit against her and the electric company for transfering the bill without authority then as part of any settlement, make the electic company fix the issue on the credit reports (there are three companies so make sure that all are changed.)
Best to do this with the help of an attorney.
You could try reporting this to the District attorney but do not be disappointed if they decide not to proceed on it.
Good Luck
