Re: Lemon Law on auto maintainence
The Lemon Law in only applicable to new cars within the
first year of ownership. You may have warranty rights
on a used car, depending upon the terms or your purchase.
If this is a repair for a vehicle out of warranty,
there are numerous highly technical requirements for
mechanics charges in the Wisconsin Administrative Code.
A good attorney could assist you with this. Unfortunately,
in simple repair cases, the cost of the representation sometimes
exceeds the value of the work and therefore almost forces a
consumer to handle the case themselves in small claims
court. Should you decide to hire an attorney, however, there
are provisions for recovery of your attorney fees if you
are succesfull in the litigation. Feel free to
send a private e-mail for further details.
