Legal Question in Consumer Law in Wisconsin

Who is liable, and what can I do about my situation

I won a 2002 Ford Escape on an online auction for a cent. The company said it was a mistake, and they are not willing to hand over the car for payment. Are they liable, or is the online auction company liable? Also they are trying to auction the car again for a penny as well as sell the car on 2 other sites. One is there home site, which they are selling it for 12,900, and another site for 16,050. This can not be legal can it? Also can I contact the private owner of the car, who is using this company to sell his car, and ask him to refrain from selling it at this time, and if he did would he be liable also? If I can file a lawsuit, what can I expect to get? A penny, or can I get at least the value of what the car is worth, or can I sue up to the 16,050 plus the cost of legal fees? And is there anyone out there that is recommended for matters like this?

"Contests" and other promotions, especially on the web, should be presumed to be scams until they have been proven otherwise, and the proof seems to have failed here. They were probably just trying to collect your information so that they could either sell it to others or directly solicite you for future sales pitches. Although you could sue them, you would have to find them (and their assets) before it would do you any good.
