Paying cash for a vehicle with no paperwork or written conditions on the sale is a very bad idea, particularly on such a large purchase as a motor home which you plan to have inspected unless you had first placed some conditions upon the sale. Your options may be few, if any, other than a lawsuit which is not very likely to succeed. If the purchase was from an established merchant, you may have a few more options, but from an individual, the prospects are very limited. You have not provided any information about the terms of the sale, if any, so I will not attempt to go further without more specifics. Of course, if you bought the vehicle knowingly taking this risk, you still received all anticipated benefits of the bargain. My answer does not automatically make me your attorney, so you need to consult with your own attorney before acting upon any of my comments and may contact my office at 333 Main St, Racine, WI 53403, 262-633-3090, during business hours, or see me on the web at www.jayknixonlaw.com.
