Legal Question in Consumer Law in Wisconsin
Return of property after repairs not made
Took 2 lawmmowers to be repaired. First one was fixed but only worked once after it was repaired.Second one was in shop for 5-6months. Went to pick up to take somewhere else to get fixed. Repair shop would not let us have the second one. Said we owed him $400-$500 for the first one. We have never received any bill, would not take money to be put against the bill at the time it was offered month ago. Can he legally hold the second one? If not how can we get it back.

Re: Return of property after repairs not made
Its going to be tough to come out ahead
money-wise in any kind of lawn mower litigation.
If you really want to pursue this, you'd have to sue
in small claims court.
