Legal Question in Consumer Law in Wisconsin
sale of boat gone bust
I sold a boat to my boss in May of this year for 6900.00 He made two payments to me of 2500 each and gave me a check for the final 1900 and asked me to hold it. I gave him the title and we have our signed paperwork. His final check was never good. He has since been fired from our company and refuses to return my calls. It just so happens that I now have the boat back in my possession. Can I get a new title, then sell the boat keep what is mine and give him the balance? Or what are my legal options? Thanks in advance for any insight into my situation.

Re: sale of boat gone bust
I would hold on to that boat. You are not going to be able to sell w/o the title.
Have an attorney do a demand letter, or skip/tract re: breach of contract.
