Legal Question in Consumer Law in Wisconsin
Turning off my heat in winter time
I believe there is a law that they can't turn off your heat if you have a child in Wisconsin (we have a 3-month old)? However, I was told that the rule only applies if you have electric heat. We have LP Heat and were told that the law doesn't apply and that they don't have to deliver if they don't want to if your account has a balance. Is that true?

Re: Turning off my heat in winter time
I believe that the winter disconnect moratoriums only apply to public utilities, not private contractors.
