monthly payments

If I make small monthly payments on a bill every month can they still take me to court to get that bill paid in full in 10 days??

Your obligations for payment of the bill were

established at the time you incurred the bill.

If your creditor and you arrived at a payment plan,

that may have modified your original terms for

payment. If you did that in writing, you would

be able to proove that. Payment terms often have

a clause indicating that even if the creditor

"waives" rights to immediate payment, the creditor

may change his mind and go after you.

In order to resolve things, you should look closely

at you original payment terms and any agreement to

modify them.
