Rights of a Cosigner

I was a cosigner on a student loan which was defaulted

on and I ended up paying. Do I have the right in

Wisconsin to take the person who took the loan out to

court in order to recover my loss?

Re: Rights of a Cosigner

Hello,

Yes you should have a remedy against the party that defaulted. Depending on the amount you may be in small claims court or regular court. You should see a lawyer to see what your options are.
