Wage garnishment, debtor obligations when moving out of state

I am not an expert in Indiana law, but in WI, small claims court rules generally require those against whom a judgement is entered to fill out financial disclosure information and supply it to the creditor. Creditors here also have the right to request periodic updates as to this information, either in writing or in a court proceeding known as a supplementary examination or discovery of assets proceeding (where they would ask you questions under oath). Failure to cooperate in these can lead to contempt of court and/or jail. You need to consult with an IN lawyer who is experienced in bankruptcy and collection matters, who could probably answer this question very quickly. You must carefully read any applicable local court rules or orders in your IN case in order to find out whether there is a continuing obligation to furnish updated financial data. Continuing obligations often contain a requirement that there information is updated over time. Another alternative, however, would be to file bankruptcy, which would usually relieve you from all financial disclosure responsibilities to individual creditors (although you would make substantial financial disclosures to the bankruptcy court).
