Worthless Checks Arrest Warrant

Once a criminal prosecution has started and resulted in an arrest warrant, simply making restitution by, for example, paying for the checks, will not automatically result in cancellation of the arrest warrant. However, it would certainly help the defendant to get more favorable treatment in court, and could result in reduction to a non-criminal charge at the DA's discretion. Additionally, if the arrest warrant was issued due to a failure to appear in court, it could result in an additional charge of bail jumping which would be totally unrelated to the original charges (the non-appearance in court being a totally separate crime). However, worthless checks will rarely result in criminal charges if they are promptly made good.
