Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin
bad luck
My house was raided due to alleged drug dealing being done by my roommate. Officers told me on several occasions that no charges were being brought against me. Now a charge of operating a drug traffiking place as a party to a crime is being brought against me due to a statement I allegedly made to police that evening. I do not recall making this statement to the police, but it is in the police report. Can they use an alleged statement not signed, or endorsed by me, against me? My SPD does not seem to be working hard enough with me . What should my course of action be?

Re: bad luck
You need to find an attorney in whom you have confidence,
then follow the advice of that attorney. You may
have a valuable bargaining chip in the form of your
testimony, which would generally require the prosecutor
to resolve your case first. What part of the state
are you located in? Please send a private e-mail for more.
