conditional release

Is it possible to transfer a conditional release from Wisconsin to Florida? Our son is on conditional release for being charged with 6 felonies , but not guilty, by reason of mental illness. (he did 10 years in a state mental health facility). his charges were 5 counts of reckless endangering safety, criminal damage to property, stalking and bail jumping.

Transfer of Conditional Release (Formerly Known as Parole Supervision) Out of State

Many of my clients have successfully transferred probation out of state, although it involves a highly bureaucratized process under an interstate compact. I do not believe that the rules vary greatly for supervision following the release from prison. However, the receiving state has the option to decline the proposed transfer in some circumstances. Additionally, some states may not participate in the interstate compact. You need to discuss this idea both with your attorney and with your son's agent.
