Did this happen in WI or IL? Also, since you have roommates, how do you even know what was confiscated; did your lawyer already obtain a copy of the search warrant return? It seems entirely possible that you are being charged with possession of your roommate's dope, the presence of which you were not even aware of, which would be a valid legal defense for you if true. Either way, I would highly recommend that you quit admitting facts online which could be used against you later in court, since police read these websites too. I would likewise recommend that you retain an experienced criminal lawyer as soon as possible from the area where this all occurred, and discuss this in the privacy of a law office, rather than online. Just another note, if you admitted to smoking, then you also necessarily admitted to possession. It may be entirely possible, however, for your lawyer to be able to get this suppressed in court.
