Disorderly Conduct Charges, Civil Ordinance Violations, Mandatory Court Appearances

I have no way of telling if you are charged with a crime as opposed to a civil ordinance, but one thing for sure is that you did not understand the conversation which you had with the DA's office; what you say makes no sense. In criminal cases, appearances are normally mandatory and arrest warrants are issued if the defendant fails to appear. In civil ordinance matters, however, the penalty for not showing up in court is merely loss of the case and conviction by default. However, you should still subsequently be arrested and jailed for failure to pay the fine, even with a civil ordinance. The bottom line is that you really need to retain your own attorney to advise you; I cannot advise you here. These comments do not make me your attorney.
