Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin

expundgement/pardon??

I was arrested in Jan 2005 on a retail theft charge and given a ticket. It's my first and only offense. Now I'm trying to advance my career and this is showing on my criminal record and hindering me from advancement. What are my options about getting it removed or cleared? I paid the ticket the day it was given as I knew I was at fault. No jail time was very given. Please help me with my options.

Expungement of criminal records of conviction is not available in the Commonwealth of Virgina with the exception of those who have received a pardon from the governor. See Va. Code Sec. 19.2-392.2
