Re: Failure to Appear
An arrest warrant will issue and then when you least expect it you'll be picked up and taken to jail to sit for a while.

Failure to Appear--Consequences in WI
Failure to appear in WI results in an arrest warrant for any criminal matter and a finding of guilt in a non-criminal traffic or ordinance charge. Jail can also result from the traffic or ordinance forfeiture if the fine is not paid within the allotted time. In a private civil lawsuit such as a collection case, there is a finding in favor of the plaintiff and against the person who failed to appear.
