Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin
if someone figured out your facebook password and used it to perform crimes. would the DA have to prove you sent them?
1 Answer from Attorneys
No, if the jury believed beyond a reasonable doubt that you were guilty, you would still be convicted, regardless of any failure of the DA to "prove the negative" regarding someone else using your password. Criminal law is not an exact science and wrongful, unjust results are common. Your best hope of avoiding them therefore lies with immediately retaining the assistance of an experienced criminal lawyer, preferably one who had prior experience as a prosecutor, to defend you from unjust allegations. Nobody but you (and your defense team) is responsible for your protection.
