Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin

Grandfather jailed for tickling grandchildren

I know a man who has been given jail time and parole time for tickling his grandchild. The child said they were touched improperly, but the man said it was only tickling and wouldn't have even thought of anything else. He was crushed. If it would have gone to trial he would have won, even the DA and judge said so. If this is the case why did he get jail time and how can they get the verdict reversed?

The man did not want a trial because he did not want his grandchild and family to suffer through it.

Re: Grandfather jailed for tickling grandchildren

It does not make sense that a judge and the DA

said they couldn't convict and then convict.

It also does not make sense that you're asking

how the verdict can be reversed . . . given that

your friend

didn't fight the case because he did not want

his family to suffer. So for whom are you

asking the question? Someone who wants to do

something about the situation or just for your

own curiosity?

I do have some experience with these cases, but they are not cheap and should best be handled from the beginning . . . so that people do NOT get unjustly convicted.
