Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin
Pardon for Felony Offense
More than 15 years ago I was convicted of "Delivery of A Controlled Substance" in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. It is the only offense I have ever been charged with or convicted of. I have been clean for 15 years, and have worked in Human Services for Adams County for the past six years. I want to get a Social Worker License, but can't with felony conviction.I would like to apply for presidential or state pardon. How do I go about it, and should I attempt federal or state. (Governor Thompson is hard-line conservative)

Re: Pardon for Felony Offense
Even though he is a conservative, he appears to believe in giving folks a
second chance as long as you have truly been an exemplary citizen since
your conviction. I have never lost a pardon application with him. Are
you involved in any benevolant community organizations--service clubs,
etc.?
