Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin
Pardons
A friend of mine is applying for a position with the Fire Department and wanted to know where he can find information regarding a pardon. He is an ex-felon who is doing quite well in his hometown. The City that the position is in told him that he would have to get a pardon from the state before he could finish his application process. How does one go about doing that?

Re: Pardons
You need to apply to the governor's office for a pardon. This is a tricky process that should not be attempted without counsel. Naturally, you will need an excellent reason why you deserve a pardon. Actual innocence would be an example. Another would be some terrible misjustice in your case. I would need to know more specifics before any analysis could be done.
