Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin
Party to a Crime
What is the penalty or criminal charges if you are with a friend and that friend steals a wallet with a debit/check card. The friend gains access to the pin number, then goes to the ATM machine and takes out $300. If you take some of that money, what do you get out of it?

Re: Party to a Crime
Dear ?,
Because you stayed with your "friend", did nothing to stop him/her and then knowingly shared in the proceeds of the crimes, you are an accomplice in the thefts and liable to the same punishment as your "friend."
