Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin
Prescription Drug Abuse Penalties
I'm researching prescription drug abuse in the united states, and am having a problem finding what the penalties are for abusing prescriptions and/or prescription drugs in the US/Wisconsin. If you could just give me a general idea of what penalties exist for these issues that would be awesome.

Re: Prescription Drug Abuse Penalties
Sorry, but the rules and penalties vary widely depending upon the drug. There are hundreds if not thousands of different prescription drugs in the various controlled substance schedules. Around 10-20 pages of fine print statutes will be involved, as well as many thousands of pages of case law. My advice would be to go the library and ask for the copy of the uniform controlled substance code. To explain it all would be far too large a topic for this forum.
