Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin
If I am a registered sex offender In the state of WI, BUT ONLY ON A MISDEMEANOR charge, am I allowed to own a firearm?
1 Answer from Attorneys
I have not yet heard that sex offender status alone disqualified anyone from firearms rights, so long as you do not also have domestic abuse related proceedings on your record, or any felony. I would need to research this before I could advise your for certain, however.
