Sentence Length for Robbery While Out of Bond
Your friend needs an experienced criminal attorney as soon as possible. Although sentences for robbery can vary greatly, they are frequently measured in decades rather than in years, particularly if a weapon was used. 25 years in prison would not be unusual. However, a good felony lawyer may discover defenses which can avoid a conviction, or negotiate an agreement with the government for a lighter sentence. But since there was also a bail jumping charge in your friend's case (accusing him of committing the robbery while on bond?), his prospects certainly do not look good. Committing any crime while out on bond is always likely to double or even triple the length of the sentence, since this more or less proves that the person cannot be trusted outside of a secure setting.
