Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin

Statue of limitations

I have lived a rough life and am finally getting things in order but i have come to a halt due to a crime committed in 1997 where i was given a ticket to appear for recieving stolen property 939.05 and party to a crime 943.34(1)(a). My question(s) is how do the statue of limitations apply to this and how long is the statue of limitation for these charges. I never went to court. I was leading a discructive life and i am ready to deal with these but i wanted to know how the statue of limitations work before i surrender myself before the court. I am scared to get a job due to the fear of jail and i want to deal with this so i can pay support and see my child. thank you for your time and consideration into answering my question(s)

Re: Statue of limitations

The Statute of Limitations on criminal ofenses only sets a time period after the offense in whichthe State must bring charges. Once charges have been brought there is no limitation time
