Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin
Per Trial
I was charged with theft 200.00 and wanted to dispute the charge and fine of 1300.00 and am now scheduled for a pre trial hearing. would i be better off paying the fine to end this and avoid the court cost? shoud i hire an attorney?

You would probably end up paying at least the fine amount for a good, experienced attorney to try the matter. If you're not guilty of what they are accusing you of, it might be worth hiring a lawyer to help you.
