Six friends were camping at a public campground for a friends birthday. We are all 19 and were just sitting around the campfire talking when two cop cars pulled up, saying that they had complaints of a party of loud music, neither of which we had. They asked two of us if we were drinking and both said yes, and then proceded to take our names and information. They never gave us a breathalizer or anything, and one was almost about to let us go when the other officer said we would receive our tickets in the mail. Is there any way to fight this to lessen the charge? Currently the charge as I know it is a $225 fine, which is a lot of money for me right now.

Where are you located in Wisconsin...what county? And what police department gave you the ticket?
