Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin
Warrant for non appearance at hearing
I moved to Texas about 5 years ago. When I moved I had no knowledge of a hearing I was to be at in Barron County Wisconsin.
I am on social security disability and I use a cpap to sleep.
If I turn myself in would they put me on house arrest ( I have a friend I can stay with) or would they put me in jail and would I loose my social security benefits until they released me?

Re: Warrant for non appearance at hearing
I would contact the court and tell them your situation. The court's response will depend on the severity of the charge. Hopefully, they will help guide you. If not, you might consider hiring an attorney in the county in which the court is in.
