what happens when you appear for an adjourned initial appearance. what comes next?

At any initial appearance, the judge's primary concerns will be to set bond conditions for the defendant, such as alcohol and drug testing until the conclusion of the case, as well as the amount of bond money you must pay in order to be released. The next court date will also be set up, hopefully with your attorney's calendar available to the court, so that the court can make sure that your attorney can make those dates. These are also quite often adjourned primarily to get defense counsel on board, so the judge might be very disappointed if you were given that time, and still appeared without a lawyer.
