Legal Question in DUI Law in Wisconsin

blood evidence and collection preservation

Thank you Mr. Nixon, I have told his Attorney about this and he feels it will make no difference. There was no other patients in the emergency room that evening so the blood had to be my friends. The vehicle was not preserved and witness were intoxicated and never questioned until months later. My friend was not arrested, spent one night in the hospital and a bench warrant was issued a month later. Should my friend look for a new attorney?

Blood Evidence and Collection Preservation in Criminal Cases

Sorry, but I would never attempt to second guess a fellow attorney without first obtaining a thorough knowledge of the underlying facts, the jurisdiction where the charges arose, the case history and the personalities involved. However, attorneys rarely have any objection to clients seeking a "second opinion." Attorneys often perform that service for one another's clients as a professional courtesy. The best way to get a second opinion is to set up an office appointment with a different lawyer, preferably one who is also experienced with the criminal courts in that particular part of the state. The result of such a meeting is generally positive for both attorneys since it will either result in the client getting a fresh start with a new lawyer or the client having more confidence in the first attorney's advice and "clearing the air" by resolving dissagreement as to how a case should be handled.
