The answer is more complicated than you may think and may need to be decided by a judge or a jury. Drivers, including minors, are always responsible for their acts, but others who allow an intoxicated person to drive may be sued for negligent entrustment of the vehicle to a known intoxicated person. Parents of minors are also liable for their child's misconduct in some situations.
