Legal Question in DUI Law in Wisconsin

Drinking

I was on my way home (not driving, being driven by a friend) when we were pulled over. I received an underage drinking ticket, which is my second ticket for that same offense. My court date is on January 8th and I am moving to a different state January 12th. Is there a chance my license will be suspended, and if so is that a nation wide suspension? Also, can I work out a deal with an alcohol class and/or community service to avoid the suspension altogether?

OWI DUI Underage Drinking 2nd Offense, Loss of License

WI underage drinking laws give the judge the option of revoking your driver's license. You therefore really need to retain an attorney in this matter, who might be able to work out an arrangement to preserve it or fight the charge if you have a defense. Saving your license might prove difficult for a second offense, and the revocation would indeed be recognized nation wide in all states who have reciprocity with WI. This is not intended to be legal advice; you really need to consult with your own lawyer. Your lawyer may spot defense which may not be apparent to you such as probable cause for your initial stop; the case gets dismissed if the officer did not have a sufficient reason to initially pull you over. Good luck!
