Drivers License revocation
I got a DWI 7 yrs ago in a different county. When I moved to Rock county I had checked on getting my license back. I was told I had to go through a out patient program. So I had done that and I thought I had finished the program. 3 yrs later I got pulled over and found out my license had been revoked for not completing the classes. I contacted the counselor that I had done the classes with and he said I completed 6 wks of classes but i didnt complete the 12 wks of after care. So now my issue is I know people that have recently got DWI or DUI and they only had to a technical college for a few weeks to get their license back. Why is my case so different and do I have any other options. I can't even get an occupational so I can support my family.

OWI DUI Noncompliance Interview Drivers License Revocation
Following the mandatory drug and alcohol assessment after drunken driving conviction in WI, the counselor to whom you were assigned by the court sets up a "driver safety plan," which is customized for each driver based upon the severity of his drinking issues. While some drivers, particularly first offenders, get group dynamics classes alone, others get more intense programming. What ever is recommended, it is impossible to get a license in WI and most other states until you have complied fully. You therefore need to set up a new appointment and start over with your classes or other recommended programming. They will frequently refer you to a counselor close to your home if you request that.
